Science Products
ICT International are proud to supply the most reputable, accurate and scientifically scrutinized instrumentation in the world for
measuring soil related parameters either directly in the field or in the
laboratory. The newest product currently featured by ICT is the MiniTRASE
TDR system.
The MinTRASE is the latest release from Soil Moisture
Equipment Corp and builds on the success of the TRASE System 1 which has
been the industry standard TDR device for the past 10 years. The MiniTRASE
is smaller, lighter weight and incorporates the latest WinTRASE software
with a Palm Hand Held PDA for complete field functionality.
Lowest-cost Remote Soil Moisture Monitoring
Decagon's
NEW Em5 ECH20™ Logger and Em5R ECH20 Radio Logger make
LOW-COST soil moisture monitoring possible with highly
precise, reliable data collection. Em5/Em5R Loggers
connect with up to five ECH20 Probes, store 140 days of
data in non-volatile memory and are powered by
off-the-shelf AAA batteries. The Em5R Radio Logger is
capable of up to 1.6 Km line-of-sight transmission.

Pressure
Bombs
The 3000 Series
Plant Water Status Console provides a means of quickly and
accurately measuring the water status of plant leaves. A
leaf or small branch is placed in the sample chamber with
the cut end protruding from the specimen holder. Pressure
is built up inside the chamber until
the
pressure exceeds the tension inside the plant material,
and xylum sap begins to flow from the cut end. The tension
can then be read directly from the pressure gauge. Two
standard Plant Water Status Consoles are available. The
Model 3000 does not have its own pressure supply, and must
be connected to an external pressure source, such as a
compressed gas cylinder. The Model 3005 is supplied with a
pressurized gas tank, making it suitable for portable,
field use. A hardwood sample preparation board is mounted
to the heavy-duty aluminum chassis.
Soil Water Sampling
Lysimeters
ICT
International Pty Ltd has a complete line of Soil Water
Samplers for collecting in situ samples from both
saturated and unsaturated soils for a variety of soil
moisture monitoring work: for example soil fertility
management, groundwater protection, vadose zone
monitoring, sanitory landfills and areas using reclaimed
or recycled water.

Jet Fill
Tensiometer features the patented Jet Fill reservoir
for pushbutton convenience and minimization of soil
disturbance when servicing is required.

Tensiometer Transducer
The soil
water tension is transmitte d
via the ceramic cup into the tensiometer. The vacuum
inside the tensiometer is measured by a pressure
transducer, which gives a continuous analogue output
signal. |
Logging Tensiometers
Soil tension measurements are an important aspect of soil
science
research. The tension under which water is held in the
soil can be used to determine the amount of water in the
soil and the stress under which plants are growing. ICT
International now offers scientists a highly accurate, low
cost, plug & play solution to logging soil tension in the
lab. The system consists of an SI8 PC interface and PCS
Windows based software program. The system provides almost
unlimited sensor capacity but for most applications
between 3 and 30 tensiometers are common.
Tensiometers Field
Logging
Soil
tension measurements are an important aspect of soil &
crop management. The tension under which water is held in
the soil can be used to determine th e
amount of water in the soil and the stress under which the
plant is growing. With the introduction of the tensiometer
field station ICT International offers scientists a highly
accurate, low cost, plug & play solution to logging
soil tension in the field. The system consists of a smart
logger with LCD display, logger housing with mast and
free-standing base. The system has a maximum capacity of
250 sensors but for most applications between 3 and 30
tensiometers are common.
MP406
The MP406 can be used to
measure the soil moisture for scientific research or
irrigation management. In either situation the MP406 can:
• rapidly measure the soil moisture by pushing the needles
of the sensor into the soil surface or soil profile;
• make measurements over time by permanently burying the
MP406 and connecting it to a data logger;
• control irrigation by permanently burying the MP406 and
connecting it into an irrigation controller.
The MP406 Moisture Probe can also be used to measure the
moisture content in many materials such as soil, food and
materials used in roadway and building construction.
MPKit 160
The MPKit
enables rapid sampling of Volumetric Soil Water Content (VSW%)
in the field. The auger drills a 50 mm hole in order to
insert the MP406. The MP406 is then inserted to the
required depth of measurement and the VSW% is read out on
the display of the MPM160 meter.
MPM100
MPM100 is
especially designed for use with MP406 Moisture Probe. It
pr ovides
the power to the MP406 Moisture Probe for the reading,
display and storage of MP406 measurements. The reading
number, mV and Volumetric Soil Water Content (VSW%)
are displayed directly. Stored measurements can be
reviewed at a later time. The MPM100 uses a common 9 volt
battery as a power supply which will last 1–2 months of
use and can be easily replaced in the field without loss
of data. The MPM100 uses a special PacTec® durable ABS
water and dust proof instrument casing which is easy to
use and carry in the field.
MPM160
MPM160 is
especially designed for use with MP Series of Moisture
Probe. It provides the power to the MP Moisture Probe for
the reading, display and storage
of MP measurements. The reading number, mV and Volumetric
Soil Water Content (VSW%) are displayed directly. The
measurements are stored automatically. A maximum of 510
readings are listed in order of measurement. These can be
reviewed in the field or downloaded into a computer at a
later time using supplied software and download cable. The
MPM160 uses a common 9 volt battery as a power supply
which will last 1–2 months of use and can be easily
replaced in the field without loss of data. The MPM160
uses a special PacTec® durable ABS water and dust proof
instrument casing which is easy to use and carry in the
